I knew something was wrong with my adoption. I lately discovered my place of birth was mispelled in my borth certificate. I still believe this is just a dumb mistake but at first I got really scared and started doing researched on my adoption and deep down in my…

This is my best friend, and my sister. She is 21 years old, and has made several large accomplishments in life despite some very serious complications. Nikk, as I call her, is Deaf and does not benefit from hearing aids or cochlear implants. she also has other complications from epilepsy. Recently she has been accepted into a service dog program (that you can find out more about here: http://www.cci.org/) And soon will be receiving a highly skilled and trained dog specifically for her needs.

Hoever, while CCI (Canine Companions for Independence) is a free service, we need to fund $4,000 to help cover the travel costs from New York to Santa Rosa, California, along with the costs of living there to do the 2 week training course along with any initial needs she will need to take care of with a dog that will help enhance her life and freedom of independence.

Nikk suffers from Neurofibromatosis Type 3B Riccardi Type (NF3b). Of the population of people who have NF, less than 100 people have this disorder. NF3b is the reason why she is Deaf and has epilepsy, along with other issues. Please visit her Facebook page also for further reading about this disease will be posted to help people understand how this affects her. Also on the page is verification of the fundraising and acceptance into the CCI program.
It is our goal to raise enough money so that when she gets the call that a dog is ready for her, she won’t have to turn down such an amazing, life-changing opportunity.

By getting this dog we will all gain knowledge of Nikk’s warnings for a seizure. Nikk will also grow herself, and be able to recognize the chaotic hearing world around her. Her new dog would be able to alert her to so many things, such as:
An aura (seizure warning)
People calling her name
Dropped keys
Fire Alarms
Door alarms and knocks
Food timers
Her own morning alarm
A baby’s cry
Emergency vehicles
Any dangerous noises
This dog will also be able to be trained to new sounds that Nikk finds she needs help with later on in life.

PLEASE spread the word, this would mean so much to me. And even if you don’t have anything to spare, feel free to send a message of encouragement to her.

We are currently at a standstill of just under $1,000 and we really desperately need to make at least $3,000.

Please help spread the word. I want her to be more confident and able to show the world that she is still just as able.

I’m trying to prove a point to my mum and teachers

Literally had one three days ago

Yo, that’s what started my issues on Tuesday that I’m just getting over today.

Ohh memories of all the mental breakdowns during college. Then I spent just about 2 months in grad school before having to drop out.

I had done those things at lest twice a week during my high school career. and even now I still feel it creeping up on me sometimes, although that has more to do with my family.
